Guidance for finding an abstract in the files below: In the table below, you'll see some rows highlighted in yellow. This is an index of all the names in the abstracts. If you find a name you are looking for in the index, it will list a file name to the right of the name and date. ABERDEEN, ANDREW. May 14, 1799. wills1798-9.txt Come back here to the Table of Contents using the back button in your browser and look for that filename in the first column of the table and click on it. This file will have an index at the top of just the names in that file and below it will be the abstracts in order of date. For the example above, the file is located here: http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/chester/wills/wills1798-9.txt and the abstract is listed about 2/3 of the way down the page. You can also use the "Find on this Page" feature of your browser to search for the name in the abstract file. |
