Jacqueline King

Jackie doing her Cemetery work!
All of us who work in the Archives were saddened by the very sudden death of Jackie King on Friday, June 29, 2007.

Jacqueline Patricia Dempsey Holloway King loved Genealogy and contributed so many files and data to put on-line so researchers would be helped.

She worked closely with Vicky Chambers in surveying cemeteries in Hall, Banks and surrounding counties. Together they kept webpages dedicated to these counties and their history. The photo above shows Jackie on one of her cemetery trips! [Taken by David Styles at Webbs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Banks Co., GA - May 2004]

Jackie worked tirelessly in typing up obits, newspaper clippings. You'll see her name as contributor on so many Index pages for Northern Georgia Counties.

Jackie was a joy to work with. I could always count on Jackie to help me keep links working correctly. Anything that Jackie submitted you knew was accurate and had been proofread. Her genealogy work will live on and help others for years to come.
